A permanent exhibition redesigned in 1995 is held in the main building, and it presents
the history of Hajdúszoboszló from the beginning to our days. The most precious item on display here is considered to be the
Bocskai-flag. According to the tradition, it was given to the heyducks by
Monarch István Bocskai himself, and the armies of the region marched to war under it. Countless other pieces of the Monarch's cult are shown, including stamps, furniture, and other items.
Besides the historic displays, a
collection of insects of the region can also be found here, as well as an agricultural exhibit displaying
turn of the century technologies used in the agricultural production.
